Wisconsin's Standards for Mathematics (2021), have been revised to include shifts related to identity, being flexible users of mathematics, along with familiar shifts of focus, coherence, and rigor. These new shifts support student-centered instruction and opportunities for the inclusion of broader ways to think and do mathematics. In this session, participants will dig into high-level changes in Wisconsin's Standards for Mathematics and consider how the to bring the shifts to life in their classrooms.
